Admission Process

Undergraduate applications go through UCAS, while postgraduate applications are usually made directly to universities. The main intake is September/October, with some courses offering a January start.

Cost of Studying & Living

Students must show they can cover tuition plus living costs (roughly GBP 1,023–1,334 per month depending on location) as part of the visa process.

Work Rights & Post-Study Options

Most international students can work up to 20 hours per week during term time and full-time during holidays. After graduating, the Graduate Route visa allows you to stay and work (or look for work) for two years — three years for PhD graduates.

This post-study window gives graduates time to gain UK work experience and potentially transition to a Skilled Worker visa.
